There’s no doubt about it – I love a great burger. Other than mac & cheese, it is the holy grail of comfort foods to me. Combine a great burger with a rustic, warm and fun atmosphere, and you’ve got one of my favorite burger joints in the city – Bareburger.
My future brother-in-law was the one who turned my fiancé and me on to Bareburger. He was incredulous that we had never been despite being only a few blocks away from one and given our professed love for burgers. After being thoroughly shamed, we simply had to try it. And man, oh man, are we glad we did!
The great thing about Bareburger’s menu is that you kind of can’t go wrong – they do everything so well. Their salads are super fresh. Their milkshakes are creamy but not too sweet. Their fries have that perfect balance of crispness on the outside and softness on the inside. When it comes to the burgers themselves, there’s an almost infinite variety to choose from now that there’s the option to create a custom burger (even for vegetarians and vegans). Plus, we always get super friendly service. What more could you ask for?
Bareburger has multiple locations in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn. And I certainly hope that more are on the way!
