What I Like Most About It: Although both of these neighborhoods might be small in size, they both pack a really big punch when it comes to quality of life. Gramercy is full of old school charm and tree lined streets, while NoMad is graced by the grandeur of pre-war lofts. Gramercy has been a fantastic spot for restaurants and bars for quite some time. But its sister neighborhood NoMad has seen an incredible revival in the past couple of years, catalyzed by Eataly, the NoMad Hotel, the Ace Hotel, the Virgin Hotel and a big influx of start up businesses who have set up corporate offices. Both have a great buzz of energy to them without feeling “too” busy, and each are just a stone’s throw away from other great downtown Manhattan neighborhoods, such as Union Square, Flatiron, Chelsea and the East Village.
