Here’s Why Mortgage Rates Can Still Go Up After a Fed Interest Rate Cut

Sometimes when the Federal Reserve cuts their benchmark rate, mortgage rates actually go up rather than down. This may sound surprising given how much chatter there is about the connection between the Fed interest rate and mortgage rates.
